I have tried unsuccessfully to remove the LED bezels on the very bright interior lights with the thought that somehow I could cut down the amount of light, say over the bed, by removing one of the LED arrays or applying a colored film... one post indicated that you squeeze the plastic gently and slide to the outside but that has not worked for me... what am I doing wrong?

That's how I removed mine.  It took me a few minutes to figure out, but once I got it, it was very easy.  Yours might be different, however, since I have a 2014 that did not come with LEDs.  I'm guessing you have a 2015 model.  Hopefully someone with a similar-vintage Pod will chime in.

It takes a little doing, probably a little more force than you are using.
