On Mar 31st, The Pod was loaded, and we were off for our month long first trip. We stayed at the Wal-Mart in Winnemucca, NV. It's 325 miles from home, and a nice place to rest and pick up what we forgot. Later that night we found out that we would have to go back home, we forgot our med's (both being 74, we need those little round things}. 40 miles from home we hit snow, made it home, was 4 PM and didn't want to drive thru snow or the late afternoon traffic of Boise we headed north to McCall the picked up US95 and got as far as the OR/NV line when Wife said she wasn't going any farther. McDermitt has a nice little RV park, that I have used before. Our started off a little on the bad side, but the rest was great. Our TV 2006 Jeep liberty pulled the R-179 with out a problem for 3447 miles thru six states at 13.3 mpg in 35 days. Wife and I summed it up as one of the best trips that we had ever taken. Being together in an "R-Pod" for 35 days and nights and still talking and holding hands, speaks for itself [The Pod's are large enough]

Great story John. Who does the cooking?

We're a lot younger, barely north of 60, and have immensely enjoyed our trips together. So far, our biggest was a 28 day, 8,800 mile whirlwind adventure with our pod. I'm so glad we did it. Not only do we still talk, walk and hold hands, but one week recently we decided to head to Florida and the next week we just did it (from New Jersey).  I think next week we will head to Assateague Island. Why not?! It's great camping during the middle of the week.

Keep moving! Things tend to seize up the longer they stay immobile.
