Hello, we are new to the R pod family! We bought a 2015 R Pod 176 T, Our first camping trip is May long weekend.

We had a quick tour of how everything works when we picked up the trailer, there is a lot to learn and know! We have not yet tried to de winterize it.
Also when we got home and moved the slider out, a whit hose was there, I have attached photos to see if this is just a spare hose? It is the middle hose showing in the first photo. Any info would be great!

Thanks

My guess is it is the hose for filling the water system with antifreeze when winterizing.

Welcome from Ottawa, ON.

If you looking for a first R-Pod/FROG rally to attend, check out our Rendez-vous on June 4-7th at Ferris Prov. Pk. near Campbellford, ON in the Events page. We have 47 campsites reserved with about 17 R-Pods coming from Ontario, Quebec, New York and Michigan.

Would love to see you there!

David

Just bought a 2014 R pod 171 after selling  our 2008 Trail Cruiser 26 QBS. Looking to downsize and liked the layout. Had almost passed this one over for a 2012 177 but after taking a look at the 171 we found there to be much more storage in the kitchen despite not having a slide out. Will be tight but just two of us and we are planning on eventually getting into a Roadtrek Class B so this will be a learning experience in downsizing and simplifying.

Thanks! If that is what it id then we will de winterize it this weekend! We did not want to have water leaking from a random hose lol!

Thank everyone for the welcome! Our family has slept in the driveway the past few nights until we can go camping!

So if we de winterize nothing will come through that hose? i have read a few posts on how to winterize but they made no mention of the random hose under slide out. Any info would be great! Thanks!

That hose is a sucker. It will only suck. Designed to suck antifreeze through the pump and to the faucets. There is a valve near the pump end of the hose. Close it. Put water in your tank or hook up city water. Open your faucets, clear for a few minutes and go camping!

When you have to put it away for the winter, it sucks.
