My FJ is lifted about 2.5" and with the head on the lowest hole the top of my ball is 21 3/8"-21.5" off the ground. When the pod is level the top of the ball receptacle is about 18 3/8" off the ground. Would a 4" drop hitch shank be all I need?
I might see if Equalizer might accept the original hitch shank that is sent with the kit since I didn't even use it. Maybe give me some money back? I got it straightened out. I made it to our RV shop just before they closed and got an dropped shank. I had to drill another 3/4" hole so my head would put the top of the ball at roughly the same height as the Pod's receiver. Once I got it set up the back of the trailer was sitting lower than the front so I had to lower the hitch head one hole anyway, so I wasted time drilling that hole.
