We bought  a  2010 171 rpod in May 2014.  Love it and enjoyed our first season with it. We like taking 2 bicycles with us and were thinking about taking off the spare tire and attaching a bicycle carrier to to the rear of the rpod .  The weight should be close to the same.  I was wondering if anyone else has tried that.

Thank you
The Pines

Howdy from San Antonio! Yes, no problem, a lot of us have done the same thing.

We did. However we found that attaching 3 bikes was a bit too much as it increased the sway. 2 bikes was perfect. we put our spare tire under the dinette in our 152.
