Yep, that's exactly what I do. Got a nice tall stepladder and soft boat brush on a stick to help. Was planning on doing it the end of this week, being the first day of Spring and all. But...it's gonna freekin snow!! How often do you wax your rpod? I just bought a new 178 today. My wife and I used to camp a lot including back country, then kids came and we wanted easier vacations (when we got any). Now the girls and 8 and 12 and we want to get back into it and teach the girls. The Rpod was perfect for us. Pure luxury really, but we are not 25 anymore and this will be a fun experience for the family. Anyhoo...I want to keep the rpod for a very long time, 10-20 years, why not? We will store indoors for the winter and will probably buy a cover too. What is the best routine for external maintenance of the body? |

I wax to protect it in long term storage before winter, and wax again before the start of the season. I wash it after every trip. I use Mcquire's Cleaner Wax. I get it at Walmart for around $6. ------------- Cliff & Raelynn Ranger 4.0/178 (1/2 ton 5,800lb tow capacity) |
