Hi.
We are planning to buy the 2015 rpod 179 this coming Spring. I heard that its cheaper to buy in the US. Can anybody help? Store?  Fees, Taxes etc to travel across the border.

Thank you!

Welcome.  Lots of across-the-border purchasers here that will chime in.

Cathykon, welcome. We have a 177 2012 love it. If you pick it up before june4. Sign up for the FROG rally at Ferris Prov. park. If not drive down for a day (Sat.) and visit all the pod owners for tips and tricks. Nice day trip/overnight. Go to rpod facebook page for info on the Frog Rally June 4-7. OH yeah we'll be in London this weekend visiting in-laws.

We purchased our 2015 Rpod 179 from FunTown RV in Wharton, TX. Cheapest price in all of Texas. Very nice RV dealership. We love it! Ask for Larry Fuqua. He's a good ol' Texas boy and he will treat you right! His number is: 361-249-1862. You won't be disappointed! Hope to see you at one of the Rally's. Thumbs Up
Happy trails!

Hi CK,
We live in Canada and looked at r.pods in the States but ended up buying here. I suggest you shop around and see what works for you. Lots of stuff is cheaper in the States. We ended up buying in Harriston, not too far from you, because we had bought there before (a 5th wheel eight years ago) and we were happy with McPhails. I know folks who have purchased motorhomes in the States, saved a lot of money and were quite happy. If you do buy down south and want to bring the r.pod back to Canada, phone ahead to your border crossing. They will tell you what paper work you need and how much duty you will have to pay. The heads up call saves oodles of time we are told).

Thank you all for the information. I really think it's cheaper in the States, but I'm worried if it's something goes wrong under the warranty it will be harder and hassle to take it back to the dealer.
