I would like to put a peep hole in the door of our 179. Are there any tricks or tips?

The door is 1 1/2 inches thick. Drill hole, mount peep. May I suggest http://www.amazon.com/Brinno-PHV132512-Digital-PeepHole-Viewer/dp/B002QGU8D0 - high tech ?

That is indeed one hi tech peephole. Also, thanks for the picture of the wall thickness. That will come in handy for this spring's scheduled mod.

That was the first modification I made to our #179.  As the others have said, it's a piece of cake.  Maybe we'll go for the full porthole after the warranty is over next September, but right now, it works very well to check for the Fuller Brush person.
