We recently changed televisions to this  http://www.bestbuy.com/site/insignia-24-class-24-diag--led-1080p-hdtv-black/2799034.p?id=1219077479420&skuId=2799034&st=24+insignia&cp=1&lp=1 - http://www.bestbuy.com/…/insignia-24-class-24-di…/2799034.p…  so we can watch tv while on DC power.

But it appears that it would fit better if the extension arm would bend in the middle. Any recommendations?

I work primarily in the wold of home AV but this is likely to meet your needs. Granted: I'm not sure about anchoring it to the wall but I doubt it will be an issue. You might also need to look into something to hold it in place while moving. I suspect some Velcro straps that could tuck in behind the TV when stationary would work ok for this application.

Also: I generally tell people not to skimp on the mount: Cheap is cheap any way you cut it!
