My girlfriend and I have been doing a lot of car camping the past couple years (we're discovering beauty and adventure beyond Lake Tahoe) and have tired of setting up a tent and sleeping on an air mattress, sooo, we just placed a deposit on a rpod 178 and are taking delivery up in Coos Bay, OR on Valentines Day.  We're very excited to say the least.  After exhaustive research and negotiations, we found the best price at Porter's RV in Coos Bay and are looking forward to our maiden voyage, camping on the Oregon Coast then over to Mt. Bachelor to ski a couple days.
We've enjoyed reading members' posts on this forum and look forward to sharing as well.  We'll post a pic when we pick up the 'luv shack'

Awesome! We stayed at Oceanside just outside Coos Bay. Beachside RV up near Newport is awesome as well. To ski Bachelor, stay at Tumalo State Park. Very cool place. We did a 10 day Oregon beer drinking adventure... 14 breweries in Bend, Rogue in Newport, yeah, we had fun. ------------- 2012 181G |

A local Ranger recommended Bastendorff campground but I'll look at those. A friend just retired and moved to Bend and is excited about the breweries; yeah we'll visit a few. Too bad his RV parking pad doesn't have hook ups.. ------------- 2002 Toyota Tundra 2015 R Pod 178 Next adventure? |
