Wish I had my pod here so i could look at the AV setup. Have you checked the tv menu? If not, check the sound setting on the tv and try different settings. This, of course, assuming you get music with no problem.

My 179 came wired 'backwards' (Jensen audio out to tv audio in).  Had to move the RCA cables at the tv end and at the stereo.  You need a #2 square driver to remove the jensen to access the back panel.  Also the tv speakers have to be disabled through the tv menu.  On our jensen the back panel audio in is selected as aux2.

My stereo has coming out the back only. (1. ant cable) (1 rca yellow single hooked to video out) (and the 20pin connector with11 wires hooked and 9 wires just hanging), My tv has only (110 ac cord) (rca single yellow on wall plate tv video out to a/v the only yellow rca plug on tv )and the screw on cable rg6 from wall plate tv 1 to rf-in on tv)
Are we confused yet   Thank you dennis

All I can recommend at this point is to drill down on the manuals and/or find an AV specialist to trouble shoot it. Please come back and let us know how it turns out, that's how we learn here.
Good luck, Sir.

1. Turn off Tv speakers in the Audio menu on tv.
2. Then change audio from variable to fixed (this is grayed out until you turn off tv speakers)
3. On the back of tv make sure the white and red Rca cable is plugged into the audio out
4. Back of stereo switch Rca plugs to audio in
5. On stereo use the Aux 1 button when viewing tv

This came directly from Jensen stereo.

I hope this helps Smile

That sounds very easy to do. I wonder is Jensen assuming that all r-pods have these rca cables installed thru the body of the pod (my 2014 177 has only 1 rca type cable pre wired it is yellow from the back of stereo on video out to the wall plate marked tv video out then hooked to AV section that has 3 connectors marked V   L   R it came hooked in V . all of your rca cables are hidden in the walls aren't they   Thanks to everyone very much for all the help

No, you should see RCA cables from the plate to your TV. Y (video) W (L. Audio) and R (R. Audio).

Thank you 1 photo is worth a thousand words that answered my question my 177 does not have that wall plate or rca cables any where in the trailer. it must matter what mood they are in on any given day. I see many things different on the same models. My only choice now is to try and run cables thru opening's inside the wall. I will run cables on the floor first to make sure it will work. Thanks for all the reply's

I think all the PODs should have this setup, where did you get your POD? It appears they missed it when it was built!!!Shocked

Can anyone out there shed any light on this? Is there a version of a 177 that does not include an RCA plate on the entertainment wall for connecting he tv? I don't think so.

coledj, what year model is your 177?

Holy Smokes...wow, could the audio be blue tooth? Does the TV manual indicate it has blue tooth audio? I know the Jensen does.

Anyway, I'm sure one of the other Podders will be along shortly to shed some light on this so stay tuned!

What's the model of the TV.  Perhaps the two are bluetooth compatible with each other.

Oh wow...this is a first for me, a 12v tv with built in DVD in a POD? This tv retails for around $700.00. You can watch TV when off the grid. CoolWell I don't see blue tooth, can you send a pic of the face of the jensen stereo? You may have to run a mini audio jack from the tv audio out to the jensen audio in on the front panel of the stereo!

EDIT: You should be able to get some audio from the tv out and patch it into the jensen stereo in, however, it is very possible that that your configuration does not allow it.

Does anyone else out there have this av set up in their POD?

My TV and Jensen system are the 12v in our Pod.

I thought were were talking like the DVD sound, the systems aren't usually set up to output the TV sound through the Jensen units and into the speakers.

It's certainly doable, would just take some piddling to take and Audio out from the TV and then into the Jensen.  That's why you're just seeing the yellow video out connection in your pod.

Lot of owners set up some wireless speakers I've seen.

I have taken all the replies received with bits from each one. I fixed the A B C speaker issue the factory wiring was wrong there are extra wires in there for more speakers. They wired 2 A speakers to A NONE TO b AND 2 FOR c. I cut the wires to one of the A speakers and attached wires for B speaker. Works great. In order to get all the pod speakers to work for tv I had to go ahead and use a mini cable from headphone jack on tv to a/v port on front of stereo. Not a hidden connection like i wanted but it also works great. Thanks to all for the help Dennis

Ok, well if you decide to cut the cord, maybe one of these blue tooth audio transmitters along with a blue tooth speaker is the ticket. It probably won't be as full of sound as the POD speakers, but you can put the speaker where ever you want and ax the patch cord.

Cliff, what is the dongle plugged into?  Do you need to use your laptop + wireless speakers to make it work?

I have not personally tried this transmitter, but it gets really good reviews.

It's a digital transmitter (blue tooth) so you should be able to plug it into any audio out source with a mini jack and then pair with a blue tooth speaker or headphones. It works on the same principle as an analog (RF) audio transmitter, like wireless headphones and speakers that are more prone to interference.

Here is a device review on youtube, fast forward to about the 3 minute point:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_VfgVOiqUyM - Aukey Bluetooth Transmitter Review

Bluetooth is a technical digital standard so theoretically any blue tooth transmitter should be parable to any blue tooth speaker.

I'm investigating the possibility of using an audio transmitter plugged into the TV out to connect with a wireless speaker. It appears blue tooth (RF) requires one of the devices (rx or tx) to be smart to complete the pairing. Has anybody tried this? If BT won't work I know for sure RF will.

MY 2014 178 does not have an RCA plate for inputing TV sound to the A/V system.  My pod is in storage, but I believe I ran a mini-jack cable from the TV earphone jack to the auxilary jack in the A/V system.  Worked great.  This summer I plan to do it right and install a wall-mounted RCA plug plate on the wall, connecting through the backside to the A/V system.  Then I can use the RCA audio out to the wall-mounted RCA input jacks which will connect behind the wall to the A/V system.  Meanwhile, the mini patch cable is working fine.

I am also using the mini cable. If you are going to run rca cables it looks like that may be a chore after the fact. I bought a 12ft mini cable from walmart.com for $5 dollars works great and I might be able to route it easer than r.c.a. cables. The headphone jack on the Jensen seems to be a good quality jack and you could leave it hooked all     the time. But I like Podsters blue tooth speaker idea also

This just might be the ticket. It appears this device has build in auto search auto pairing...this should overcome the requirement to have a smart device in the pair so this and a BT speaker should work. More research for sure, because of the investment.

http://www.amazon.com/Portable-Stereo-wireless-Bluetooth-Transmitter/dp/B00HR4XSPQ/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1423837573&sr=1-2&keywords=bluetooth+transmitter+for+tv - BT Audio TX    with search and auto pairing...

Thoughts?

Maybe something along this line...? BT may not be the best way to go here, this looks like it would be easy to set up with a pair of powered PC Speakers.

Yes, mine work fine. I'm trying to find a good wireless solution to be used to improve audio while watching TV while the A/C is running. One that can be moved around the POD with no trouble.
