Placed this on FB page also. Looking at reviews of BAL leveler, Sept of this year (2014.) After one use the bal leveler ( jack screw and trunnion) were found to be not hardened enough. After the weekend when dropping the trailer down, the threads (threads were well greased) were found to be worn, as in steel off of the threads. Has anyone found this also? Just wondering if the BAL folks are slacking off a little in their quality control... Opinions welcomed. thanks.

Wonder if anyone makes a knock-off of the BAL leveler.  I've seen this complaint (soft steel) before.  It's a neat design, though, so it seems logical that someone would make a more durable one (given that patent issues would need to be addressed).  Anyone know of any other BAL-like levelers?
