You people have ALL the answers! I am looking for a winter cover for my new model 179. I found one that almost works, but the door zip out is located in front of the axle/wheel. My door is located behind the axle/wheel. Somewhere out there is a model 179 owner who has found the perfect winter cover, Please tell me where to find one.

The ONLY place you will find a cover with the zipper in the correct spot for your 179 and that is the right shape for a teardrop camper and your size is through Forest River directly.  No other competitor makes one with the door in that spot yet.

Thank you for the tip on the cover. I will check Forest River. Hmm, you would have thought I would have looked there FIRST. I just missed the obvious place to look. Thanks again

The company Classic Accessories who makes the other covers that Forest River uses for the other models may eventually design one that will fit the 179 in the same way.  I've not heard that it is in the works yet though.

Good luck

Forest River has had a cover for the 179 for more than a few months.  We've had ours for four or five months.  Fits perfectly.  Wish the R Dome fit that well!
