My Rpod 179  lives  in a 12x24 storage garage with a 110 outlet.

Is it better to plug in the trailer to 110 or put the battery on a 12 volt trickle charge?

For the Winter, I remove my batteries (I have two) and keep them in my basement throughout the Winter. I charge them using a Norco Genius charger, then leave them until the Spring.

When getting ready for a trip, I plug into 110V at least two days before my trip so the onboard converter/charger tops them off.

When your Pod is plugged in to shore power, your converter is charging your battery.  I leave ours plugged in but check the battery water level periodically.

The converter will use about 35 watts 24/7, so over 800 watts each day.  You'll use less using a trickle charger.  Or, charge them every 30 days overnight, then no need for the trickle charger.  If you leave the batteries outside where they will stay cold during the winter you can get away with one charge in the middle of winter.

I would just unplug if not using the pod for a guestroom, hideout, man cave etc.. go out and plug in once a month for a day.
