     I currently a 2014 Rpod 171 that I was toeing with a 2011 Sienna AWD that had
3500 lb. tow rating ,but have now upgraded to a 2015 Toyota Hghlander which has 5000 lb tow rating. The only real compliant I have with the 171 is access to the queen bed for myself and my wife for night bathroom visits,is it easier to move around  without disturbing each  other? Thanks.

After five years in our 171 I understand what you are saying. It was about the forth year I ended up lowering the dinning table and sleeping there and letting my wife have the rear queen bed. That worked out great for us and wish I had done it sooner. Sorry I can't answer your question with the 179.

we have a 179, it is a bit easier, because the slide out give you some extra room. We used to have a 171 and found it to be an improvement.

Depending on how tall you are, some 179 owners have had luck sleeping "north south" by adding a little extension on the "end "of the bed..

On our 171 I added a grab handle on the left wall (as you get out of the bed), and we always set up a 2-step step stool at night, right in front of the fridge so I had a place to step on after stepping over my wife.  Still wasn't easy.

Try using a small folding stool from Bed Bath & Beyond. Place stool at base of bath wall. With your right hand on sink corner swing leg over and place right foot on stool. Then in one fluid motion lift body and left leg over other person. Landing in front of sink.  Works for me.    Podner
