| Hi all I'm Georgia Dave,I own a tent camper now I've been looking to move to a tt for quite some time and don't want to buy a bigger truck I have a 1994 f-150 that I bought new 300 inline 6 and a 2007 Tacoma 6cyl. to be honest I've never been in an R-pod the locals don't have them I looked at the ultra lights but haven't been to impressed also a slide looks almost imposable at the weight I want I can pull one but I've never been one that max out the load. The R-pods looks to me like its just what I'm looking for I'm going to take a day off work soon to go to a dealer and see one in person. I guess what I'm asking are they really as nice as they look in pictures and how well are they built. 90% of the time it will be just me DW and our 2 small dogs both under 15 pounds.the other 10% we will have our grands we usually only take one or two at a time so the can get the attention the love |

Howdy from San Antonio! Well, I've only owned my POD for two weeks, but it's sitting in the driveway and I have crawled over every square inch. The interior is warm and inviting, the exterior is attractive and easy to maintain and the PODs are nicely equipped. Are they perfect? No. That said, I have not been left, at all, with the impression with any part of the POD in particular as being cheap or cheesy. So far, I am reasonably satisfied with my investment. Welcome. One thing that has apparently changed with the newest model year(s) is a switch from solid wood cabinets. I haven't seen this in-person. Thanks for the good advice, when did they switch from all wood cabinet's. I will most likely buy a used one unless I just cant find one imho a camper or boat deprecates in value too fast to buy new unless that all is out there

That's one of the issues that inspired us to buy a new one. The relatively few used ones we found weren't that far away from a new one price-wise. Plus, with a new one, you know everything works. | Actually around here most of the dealers have several used ones keeping in mind that I don't live close to the dealers from the nearest about 70 miles in s.c. to the next one toward Atlanta ga I live on the boarder, That's why I was wondering about quality no longer than the pods have been around theirs a lot of used ones to be found maybe the folks just went bigger, Im not really looking for an entry level camper Im looking for a small one because there are only two of us and I cant see buying a $45,000 truck to pull a $30,000 but seems all the campers that are made small are made to last only until you can afford a big one For me quality is #1 floor plan #2 and the campers wait #3 or closer to #2.5 |
