Sorry, new to blogging.  I guess it's never to late to learn.  Somehow I accidentally clicked post reply before it allowed me to type anything.

Hubby and I are considering the r pod 179.  We recently found out the newer 2015 models are coming out with the outside shower.  Big smile  We do have questions for anyone owning the 179 model and how easy or difficult is it to hook up the lines for the grey and black water lines since they are in 2 separate locations?  Also, do you feel you have enough space between the bed and the slide dinette  when getting out of bed?  Do you have enough refrigerator space in your rpod, since it is 4.3 cub ft?

Since the rpods have been around awhile, any problems with the toilet/shower room?

I know there are alot of happy campers using their rpods and we love the look and style.

Thank you for any input and insight you can give us.

we just bought a 2015 Rpod179 and had it out for the first trip this past weekend. Wish we had the outside shower !

1-easy or difficult is it to hook up the lines for the grey and black water ?
Not hard but kinda a hassle having to hook, unhook and hook again. Also like to use grey to flush black out hose. thinking of modifying mine to plum together
2-do you feel you have enough space between the bed and the slide dinette when getting out of bed?
Yes-I'm 5 11 and 300 lbs. Plenty room
3-Do you have enough refrigerator space in your rpod, since it is 4.3 cub ft
YEs-need to plan well. Buy small items.
4: any problems with the toilet/shower room
it is small but we use for night potty and shower if needed. Use campground showers mostly and will be adding outside shower.

We love our 179 and are still getting to know it.

thanks

the above pretty much sums it all up!

most pods have separate black and grain drains.

and the only problems you might encounter in the wetbath are possibly your black tank flush being installed backwards and maybe your support braces for your shower pan not being very tight fitting.

other than that just get used to a small bathroom.  make sure it doesn't bother you.

we love and use ours for everything.

As we left on our first Rpod outing, my wife announced that we would NOT be using the toilet other than in the middle of the night & no showers were to be taken in there. I told her that I wasn't hauling it if I wasn't using it. I used everything the first day. She relented & used it the next. Its a bit cozy & my wife thinks its too small to be co-ed. But we use it all the time when camping, just the same.

The wet bath really bugged me at first.  Now I don't mind it at all.  I don't spend a lot of time in there, so it is not a problem.  You may want to leave the door open at first until you get used to it.  Not for showering but for other uses.

Thank you all for your comments.  Really appreciate the information, I'm swaying towards the rpod, especially since we love to spend time outdoors and only come in at night.  We currently have a tent trailer with a shower/toilet, which we can't get to until we set up.  The rpod shower/toilet would be a real plus and the size of the trailer works perfectly in our drive way.     Thumbs Up

Inside to shower and sleep, otherwise outside around the campfire!
