All packed an headed south, thinking of making a pit stop on Assateague before hitting Cape Hatteras.

Headed to the KOA in Rodanthe. Have spent the past
Couple days in Chincoteague Virginia at assateague island
Saw the wild ponies and losts of dolphins!!

So the ponies are still there? We wanted to see Assateague Island, but had heard most of the ponies were removed sometime in July to prevent overpopulation every year.

They run the herd in July and auction some off in July
To benefit the volunteer fire dept.

Made it to the KOA on Wednesday Weather and beach are great. Fishing
Is a bit slow but still a blast. Met a couple with a new 178 from Seattle Washington

Nope. This was last year at this time. I suspect we will see the same week after next.
