Last person I know that ordered from them had theirs in just over a week.  Mine took about 3 weeks.

How are those compared to the flat panel ones?  I think I saw someone using those as well.  Are these bright enough to read by?  You know, really read, not squint and struggle like the middle aged guy that I am.

Oh yeah, is there a linky to the outside ones?

I've got the same ones as kymooses - they're a great replacement and I strongly recommend them.  Three years old and still going strong.  And, yes, they're perfectly fine for reading; you won't notice a difference.

I've been through a couple different ones, but I've never been happy with an outside LED - never bright enough for me.

Look for my "Salem-mod" thread for my recent conversion to the paddle types (inside) and flat panel type (outside).

For the outside ones, and only because I just needed one, I would just grab one from your local auto store.  Or you can find them on Ebay as well really cheap, just look for the bayonnet base and it's an 1141 or also known as an 1156.

Perosnally i don't like the panel ones because they need some sticky foam  tape to hold them.

Warm white is around 2700 degrees Kelvin, a warm yellowish light similar to the the factory bulbs. Cool white is around 3500-4000 K, a bluer white.

Its the difference between the harshest, cheapest, 4' fluorescent lightfixture hanging over a workbench in an auto shop and the warm, inviting, slightly golden glow of a bedside lamp*.

*Somewhat overstated for dramatic effect - but you get the idea.

Speaking of led lights. My 2015 179 has all led. They are bright. They also have 2 flat led sets in each light. Is there any way to switch on just I side. The doubles are actually to bright!

You would have to get a double-throw switch to replace the existing switch, with some minor rewiring in the fixture.

A note about "warm white".  As I mentioned in the Salem-mod thread, if you aren't careful when you search for "warm white", you may get 4000k coloring and not 3000k.  I ended up not minding the 4000k color but if you want the same color as the original incandescents then you want 3000k.

The newest pods, including all 179's, have a different style fixture, with the LEDs as a native instal. You cannot swap them out the way the older pods do. There have been many comments about how bright the factory LEDs are. The answer that seems to make people the happiest is to frost the inside of the lens.
