Costanoa campground - koa
Between Santa Cruz and Half Moon Bay on Hwy 1. Close to beaches and plenty of other activities (hiking, riding, sight seeing, fishing).
Nice facility, big and small units are fine. Plenty of trees, grass, general store, restaurant, lodges, cabins, tents, great sunsets.
One hour north to San Francisco.
Pet friendly.
Cost 70.00 a night.

Nice to know! Do they have showers and can you sneak a tent on your spot?

JStrube,
Showers are real good, central fireplace to keep you warm after shower in cold weather. Nice people run the KOA part of the operation, but don't think you will get away with extra tent. But I believe they have some combo sites, won't hurt to ask. Beautiful weather the past 2 weeks, WOW. They really crowd up on the weekends - friday night to sunday morning is packed so shoot for the sunday afternoon thru friday checkout.

Fair weather and good roads!

Excellent!  We booked Marina Dunes RV park for the weekend of Oct 4/5.  I forgot about this one!  Next time.

We took our brand new 179 to Costanoa on 11/1 for its maiden voyage. This is our first RV of any kind. We had a great experience. The camp was pretty full on the weekend. Great views of the sunset and plenty of trails for hiking. The sauna was a pleasant surprise.
