Hi, we just purchased our r-pod about a month ago. Plan on using it in a couple weeks. Thanks, this forum has been very informative.

We have a micro/convection oven combo. What type of dishes can you use in it? Can I use metal to bake in? I purchased a pyrex and anchor glassware. But upon further thought wonder if I can use it or not. The reply from Anchor was you cant use it in a toaster oven. Guess they did not really read my post.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,  Jerri Corbett

You can use Metal pans for baking with the convection oven. I don't know if you can use them with microwave or not I would have to dig out the manual. The glass bakeware should be fine. I have used Pyrex but on Anchor Hocking. Anchor Hocking says that you should not use is in a toster oven or under a broiler so it looks like they want to to avoid radiant heat. Since a Convenction oven heats the air not by radiant heat you should be fine.

We use the metal in the convection m ode and the pyrex in the microwave mode. So far so good.

Thanks so much for your reply's! We haven't used the microwave/oven yet and you read my mind...I was wondering about using metal in the oven. We bought used and it did not come with a manual. I can burn a pot of water. Hubby will be doing the cooking just need to know what to put in there for him to use.

If you go on the internet, you can find lots of recipes for use in the microwave and the convection oven.
