Bought 2015 model 171. After couple months noticed mold only on exterior in the caulk. Never had this happen on any prior RV I've owned. Tried some black streak remover, did nothing. I'm sure this is only a cosmetic issue but ugly to look at. Anyone else have this happen?

Welcome.  This is "normal" for the stuff they use at the factory.  I don't agree with it though.

Do you mean its normal for the caulk to mold? Luckily I haven't experienced that. Hopefully strong disinfectant and a pressure washer will help.

That button at the top of the remote?
That's the power button..press it.
Turn it all off.
Go outside!

Whatever they used on mine molded up fairly quickly.

The mold spots in the caulk is a confirmed "cosmetic" failure only.  It's a bit ugly, but you can alleviate it some with some regular cleaning.  Literally just a micro millimeter of scraping the ugly caulk and there is fresh clean stuff underneath.

You'll see it on a love of RV's on a lot of different RV forums.

Definitely isn't superficial on mine, no amount of washing/scraping will take it off.

have you actually taken a blade and shaved off the top layers?  not saying you should do that, just what i noticed when replacing mine that it doesn't go all the way through.

but i suppose enough neglect and enough time it would penetrate further

Just scrubbed heartily.  Since the caulk otherwise has looked fine when I've done my annual inspections I didn't want to mess with it.
