Hi All,
My husband and I are the proud new owners of a 2011 RPod 176 (not the T) we actually bought this baby on EBAY (which I calk up to middle aged insanity, but what the heck) we chose this model because I spent about 2 months researching (and reading stuff on this board). And decided that the "bunk bed" area would be perfect for storage since we are going to be using this for hubbs book tour. QUESTION: I want to get a security lock on the trailer hitch because we are going to store it in our handy RV parking slot, great neighborhood, but still, these things are sweet! Does anyone have a preferred lock? Or a link to where I can find one?

Congrats! We pick up ours in a few hrs. On the lock I have never used one but now it will be easy for someone to drive off with it. I will be getting one that covers the front part so and may run a cable through the rims also.

Welcome.  Any hitch lock you use can be easily defeated.  A lock in the locking mechanism can be cut off, and a hitch socket lock can be whacked off easily from what I've read.  That said, I would do one or both to start.  Then add another layer like a chain run through the wheel and around the axle.  The goal is to just make it annoying enough to keep them from trying.  If they want it bad enough they will get it, so the final layer is to make sure you insure it immediately.

Hi There,
Yes it's has been insured since before the shipper drove it of the lot. I bought a hitch lock, a tire lock and and locking lug nuts for the wheels... as you say if someone is crazy determined they will do what they do.. we live in a great spot, but still. Thanks for all of the input, just got a text from the shipper that it's on it's way. YAY!
