Thanks Leo can't wait to get it to start making it our own. Seen someone on here did glass tile back spash around the kitchen sink....that will be one mod done for sure. The other I'm going to see about a larger sink in the kitchen. Can't do much tell the knee replacement heals up.

A better view than I got in '86, which was completely fogged in.  This time it was foggy at first but then opened up to show the top of the cloud deck just below us (with a few peeks at the view below).  A pretty cool view even if it wasn't cloud-free.  You can click on the pics in this post for a larger view:

Didn't get to the zoo.

Look for the Post Reply button at the lower-left under the last post.  That puts you into "full edit" mode, then look for the button with the picture of the tree, just above the text box.

Lance, congrats on the new 179!  That's the model we're interested in as well so I'm anxious to hear what you think of it.  Hope you'll post a review.  We sure like all the storage in the 179.  Is yours finished in the new green color scheme?  I like your ideas on the backsplash & bigger sink, too.  Ahh, so many cool things to do with these little critters.

I got some good views from the top when I lived there in 1974 - 1976.  Didn't get to the top too often as I spent most of my time in a tank at Fort Carson.  At the time I had a 1958 Willy's truck that sometimes made it to the top of the peak, sometimes not.

I'm picking up my 179 tomorrow from a local dealer here in San Diego.  I'll post more after I get it.  This is a great forum!

We bought our 2015 -179 in May 2015 and I (DW) love it! I scanned floor plans on the internet for a couple months and I like the rear kitchen that has prep space with the R=Pod.  And the storage is awesome! Star

Welcome to the Forum!

We're in the Springs as well. Still haven't snapped up a Pod yet but getting much closer! After spending 14 nights in a tent this Summer, my wife is ready.

We just did Pueblo, the Springs, and Denver in July. The wife, (XYL) that's a HAM Radio term of endearment, I know there must be other HAMS out there. The XYL (AKA-my off duty supervisor) grew up just outside of Denver. We went back to check out the old stomping grounds. Her grade school is now a church! We may very well return next July...hey...maybe we should form us up a Rally!

Several hams here, I'm a ham wanna-be, I'm sure the others will slap me around a bit now since I still haven't sat for the exams...

techtrek, this link should take you to one of the best free online HAM testing practice sites. The tests are public information and openly published in several different forms. It's a great Hobby...lots of fun, especially while camping.

Yup, that is where I was doing my practice tests about a year ago.  I was consistently getting in the mid-upper 90's on the Tech, but my grades on the General were still too variable and there were topics I wanted to understand better.  I want to sit for both at the same time.  Then vacation started and I just haven't gotten back to it.
