| I own a 2014 Rpod 171 and my brother inlaw would like to buy a 2015 171 but the dealer would have to order it, but he tried to sell him a 178 .The dealer told us for 20151/2 (now) the exterior color is changing from cool vanilla to baby blue!!!. We can't believe FR is doing this and I am lucky that have the 2014 model.My bother is now seating the internet for a 2014 or early 171 in vanilla. |

The new colors look much much much much much better in person. Sounds interesting, I like the color baby blue. It reminds me of the Volkswagen's back in the late 60's that was a popular color for them. The r-pod's too make me think of the shape of the Volkswagen Beetle they both have a similar round shape. I have some videos up of the new colors on the Rpod Spotter youtube channel. And dropped some of the pics on MoosePods shutterfly page. The interior pics I left out because they were showing a bit of the construction but it is much lighter inside now, kind of gray wood grain cabinets, white linen looking walls, a very lightly colored marble looking counter top, stainless faucet, and both of the linoleum choices have gray tones to them. Do you have any photos of the gray interiors? I looked at the Youtube videos of the exterior (thanks again for posting those!) but I'm having a hard time imagining the interior. As I commented on the videos both my wife and I don't care for the new exterior look but I am scared to death of a gray interior...seems cold and unappealing. I guess the designers got bored and wanted to be "different" but I'm thinking there could a reason why just about every camper (and most homes) in the world have a more natural wood finish. I wish the company would give us a choice and let us vote with our wallets. But since I can't find a decent picture, it's difficult to know for sure whether we could live with the new colors or not. Gray is the color of tombstones, battleships, and moderate (severe would be black) depression!

Somewhere at the end of the 2014 Goshen pics I have one or two of the unfinished interior. I actually like the look of it a lot, it's very clean and i'd almost liken it to being a coastal kinda feel. But I don't have any full complete interior photos yes, I'm working on getting those, I'm crossing my fingers that tomorrow I'll have some full interior with all the lights on and all the fabric. | Thank you! This is very timely and helpful--getting ready to purchase a 171 and feel like we can now make an informed decision. I'm thinking the "new" 2015 models have added the outside shower (nice!) and switched to LED interior lighting. I'm still not a fan of the drab colors but perhaps one can warm the decor with rugs, pillows, etc. I was initially aghast at the new exterior colors but they have grown on me, much as I've learned to tolerate lima beans, and are no longer an issue. |

I liken the outside to Robin Egg Blue. And I really like it. I could make a bunch of decal styling changes outside to give it a more retro feel though. I REALLY like the wheels compared to our 2014 wheels(hate them). I would change one of these Pods over to painted steel wheels with baby moons & maybe wide whitewall tires.

Hello, we just got our 2015 and the colors are awesome. We ordered in in June and took delivery 8/16/14. I thought I wouldn't like the new colors either, but I really like them.
