Hello

I'm just starting to look at purchasing a camper.  We've tent camped for a few years now with out two kids, but my wife has a physical disability with her lower half and that is getting to hard on her.  We checked out the 176T to see if it would work for my wife.  It looks to be a good fit for her.

Our only R Pod dealer near us is Camping World.  They didn't budge on their web price which was 17k for just under 21k.  They also then charge for shipping and prep fee of $495 each.

Has anyone dealt with Camping World?  Is that good pricing or could better be had?

Thanks

Paul

Welcome.  That pricing is way too high.  Many of us here have found the lowest pricing online, then taken a printout to our local dealer to negotiate similar pricing.  In my case I went from $18k sticker to 14k, then I pulled out my printout and they came within a few hundred dollars instantly (12k).

Some times it is well worth the savings to drive a distance to buy a camper and not buy locally. We bought two campers out of state and have had both serviced under warranty at our local Camping World. And I agree, what Camping World is asking is a high price and even though they have a good service department if you need to pay they are high priced with that also. I knew a salesman who worked for Camping World and he wanted to sell campers for less but the manager would not agree to lower the price. In there store I have found some low prices with things on sale and they have a great selection.

We bought a used 182G last summer from Boat N RV, Rockwood TN. We were there last week for warranty work (excellent service department, I might add) and saw another used one on the lot. Check out their web site. They had a new 182G in their showroom.   If you see something at another location, they will bring it to TN. Guess it depends on where you are.

Usually you can get 1/3 off of the sticker price.

It seems a dealer will come down in price quiet a bit if you have a printout from there competition. Wish we coulda got the prices you listed. We couldn't find any under 17000 within a decent drive. Good luck
