Hello all,

We have just come back from a tour of the Cascade Loop in Washington. We started at Rasor State Park ending up at AnnCortez. We missed the awful fire, very sorry for the people that it effected. The landscape is mind blowing!!
One town stood out and that was Winthrop, the western town. We stayed at Pine Near RV park. The park is clean, green grass and the owner is very helpful. It is one block above the town. You can walk every where, make sure you go to the bakery yummy! Winthrop is a great little town to visit,I would go back in a minute.

Yup, the Cascade Loop is a great trip! Pearrygin Lake State Park (Uh huh, I think that is the correct spelling), near Winthrop, is a very handsome park, but difficult to get into during tourist season. Alta Lake State Park, a ways down the road from Winthrop, just took it in the shorts from the fires. What a shame! Week after next we're heading a little east of your trip to stay at Steamboat Rock SP. I hope they still have the light show at Grand Coulee Dam--nice way to spend an evening.
