We just did our "Shakedown cruise" in a 182g for 2 nights.  Pulled the trailer with a 2012 Tundra, 5.7 ltr.  Went to ute lake NM in temps of 104 deg F.
Comfy in the POD though. I need to read all the manuals, but maybe you folks can get me up to speed on some basics:

Will an iphone 5 work via usb for music through the stereo/speakers?
is there a temp setting for the water heater?
Is there a way to silence the TV antenna wobble?  i used one of my wheel chocks

Thanks

Congrats! Shakedowns are fun!

iPhone - We just use Bluetooth to the Jensen or you can use a mini-mini cable plugged into the earphone jack on phone and AV in on stereo if you have the same unit we do.

Water Heater - No thermostat that I've found It does get hot! We usually just turn it on for a few minutes to an hour and shut it off. Plenty hot water for a couple of showers.

TV Antenna Wobble - Must have been windy, huh? I couldn't find a way to tighten it up, but over the last 10K miles it hasn't been an issue. Crossing Wyoming in 55 mph+ winds I was a bit concerned, but antenna didn't prove to be a problem - kinda hurt fuel milage though! Confused

hey Fred, thanks for the answers!.  The water wasnt that hot, might need to make sure it is working.
the only problem with the antennae wobble was at night trying to sleep the wobble is audible in the camper.

Thanks again!

The water heater does not have an accessible temperature setting. There are two thermostats, one for gas and another for electric. The electric thermostat is set several degrees hotter than the gas so the temp is maintained by electric if available. Low temp complaints are 99+% due to improper setting of the bypass valves. Check them. That water should be really hot.

The bypass valves are wherever the water heater is located. Either run a search on this forum or Winterization or Bypass or wait until someone with a 182G jumps in to help.

The bypass valve is in front of the HWT.

I found the bypass valve and that was the heater problem. I also found that i have what i think is the valve for winterizing from the water pump.  Had the wrong manual for the stereo.  This stereo model does not have blue tooth but does have HDMI and compatible with all iPhones (but iPhone cable in the back and is a 12 pin connect i think-i never seen that type).  The face will connect via headphone jack, so that will work i think.  attached are pics of my 182 g heater, water heater and water pump under the seat in the kitchen seating. I don't like the access and will be redoing that.  (forest rive can do better there for sure)

Hopefully that picture is the "before" shot before you fixed your problem.  The bypass valve (the one in the middle) should be closed during the summer but is open in the pic.
