http://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=570 - Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park was our longest stay during our 26 day cross country trip. We were attending a wedding in Monterey so it just seemed logical to drive to the wedding from New Jersey and the meander back home.

Pfeiffer Big Sur was a great place to make base camp for 6 days. The California coast north to Monterey and south to Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park offers so much to do and see, especially if you just like exploring like us!

The campground itself is large, cool and quiet. At least the loop we were on was. There were no hookups, but we don't generally need them. We did use the generator one afternoon for wife's hair dryer.

Posting a couple of pics here really doesn't do justice to the area, so I added a hand full to a Google+ album here:

Pics include Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park, Big Sur Beach, Point Lobos State Reserve, Garrapata State Park, Monterey - Cannery Row, Monterey - Old Fisherman's Wharf, Monterey - Monterey Aquarium and my beautiful niece with her father and brand new spouse.

I hope you enjoy and can visit this wonderful place sometime!
