is it difficult to replace the exterior entrance step wit a double one? It is difficult for me to step that high, but I do not want a double step to sit so low that it will drag, even when folded for transport. Is there a specific brand to buy for the r-pod? No dealer close and would like this done soon. I can always use a small step stool if necessary., but would be better to replace the step if that is feasable.

I had the same problem. I bought a double plastic folding step and that's all I use. It supports up to 300# and is useful for other things around the campsite. It folds flat and I just put it inside on the floor when I leave. Jan

I have the same problem, I just ordered a Stromberg Carlson 2 step today, so I will have better answer when I have installed. I have the Hood River R177 witch has the risers and its not fun getting out of the Pod in the AM. Ah the golden years.
Also look at page 66 of the Podmods and you will see a Pod with it installed, but it doesn't look like a Hood River Pod.
