Hi, been lurking here for awhile reading all the info. I just took a peek at the R pod 179 & 178 that my local dealer just got in. Been waiting for a long time till he got them in, so that i can see them up close. I must say, I am impressed with all that they have. If my local guy comes in close to Couch`s quote, i will get it from him.  If not i will be taking a ride to OH. I drive a 2012  Rav4 V6/tow package 3.5L 269Hp. 3500lbs tow limit. I have been searching for the past year all over the place. LOL  likes this one. I`ll be asking ?? as time goes on.  Thanks,  Carl

Welcome!  What part of pa are you in?  In Adamstown pea outside of reading Pa is Stoltzfus that sells r-pods. They have been know to come close to couches pricing.  I bought mine from them

Welcome.  I bought mine from Stolzfus as well, and they did come very close to Couch's (with a printout from Couch's in-hand).  I do not recommend their service department, as you'll see in a post I made elsewhere.

We just bought a 177, and our TV is a 2005 GMC Envoy XL with the inline 6 cylinder engine and towing package. It tows without too much problem (we keep it at about 55-60 mph for safety and fuel efficiency), but you really have to slow up a LOT in the mountains.

The 178 and 179 are a bit heavier, so I wouldn't recommend either for a RAV4 if you intend on pulling your Pod through any mountainous areas. If you do, I would recommend taking it very easy (i.e. sloowww).
