I finished building and installing two cabinets a la Marwayne in my 177. Pics attached. Now I just need to figure out a door closure. Don't look too closely at the cabinet doors. One is terribly off square .... but then trim covers any number of sins.

For some reason the system isn't allowing me to post the other cabinet, the one next to the door. I'm a tequila man myself, but those bottles fit into wine racks quite nicely.

Hey headcold. If you can resize your pics before uploading it would help. Right now that image is 1500 pixels wide. If you could resize it in somethin to 500 pixels it would be better and might solve the problem. Here's the same image @ 500 pixels wide:

The best part about doing your own work is you appreciate it more knowing all the work you put into it. Looks good and the extra storage will be great to have.

Even greater thanks to you, Sonny. I couldn't have done it without your plans and kind assistance. Now, I would dearly like to build a closet into the pod .... but where? Heh.

Jim, do like I did give your pod a nosejob and you will have a closet.

Heh ... that task requires finer tolerances than I may be capable of .... On that note, a friend suggested that in future projects I use a metric tape measure and square etc. to get the accuracy that I struggle for when using the fractional complexity of the American measurement system with its eighths, fourths, sixteenths, halves, and three-fourths, etc. (I mean, does anyone else in the world use this cumbersome system?). I meaning hanging on to this system of measurement does not have to be a measure of ones patriotism. So, I'll drink a half-liter of ale to your suggest and think about it.

The metric system has it's advantages but I understand a yard and a gallon easier than a meter and a liter. Life is more interesting when we have different ways of thinking even measuring distances. What would we call the little inch worm!

That would be the 2.54 centimeter worm.

These little pistons don't only hold your door open, it also hold's them shut.

I previously ordered one of these pistons from Amazon (shipped directly from China) to see if it would fit and am finding that it is too large. Sonny, what was your source for the ones that you installed (and their length). They look smaller, but also better than the one that I just received.

Fully extended they are 6" long, got them at Home Depot for 3 or 4 bucks.

When I inquired several weeks ago, our local Home Depot didn't know what I was talking about, even after showing them pictures .... neither did the local Lowes. However, now that I know the length, I can order them from Amazon. The one that I already ordered and received from Amazon is about a foot long, probably too long. Again, thanks for the tip.
