Hello,
Long time forum lurker, and RPOD owner wannabe. I have been reading the posts on this forum trying to get as much information before pulling the trigger and committing to a large purchase.

For the longest time (and still yet), I have been undecided as to if I should purchase a fiberglass trailer, or an RPOD.
I have looked online at the casitas, scamps, etc. but with no showrooms on the east coast, I cannot blindly buy one.

Same for the RPOD. By what I have seen online, we have decided on a 177 (just the Mrs. and me) but cannot find one to view anywhere.
I have been taking with Bay RV, and they can special order one, but have none to show in stock.

I would also love to talk with a current owner to find out the pros/cons.

Any suggestions?

Welcome.  Another option is to look at a 171.  The bed and dinette are the same size and in the same locations.  The kitchenette and bathroom are in the same locations, but are reversed (fridge-stove-sink in the 171, sink-stove-fridge in the 177).  Plus the 177 has the kitchenette on the slide.

You are welcome to come see our 171, we are in northern Baltimore County about 10 minutes from the PA line.

Thanks Doug,
The 171 may also be an option since we will not be touring days on end, and only using the pod for a 3-4 day jaunt every few months or so. We also will not travelling very far, and expect a fair amount of boon-docking so solar connections/and or generator would be a plus.
Thank you for the invite to see you pod.

We own a 177 and love having the slide out. We are located in upstate NY, so quite far from you. If you are ever up this way,,,you are welcome to check out our RPod.  We found our second hand RPod on craigslist and drove four hours to buy it.

We have a 177 and use it a lot from April to Nov.  We live in Mineral VA about 100 miles south of DC and you are welcome to come and look at ours.  Not sure where in MD you are located.Big smile

We have a 2012 177 for sale on the Eastern Shore (Chestertown). Little used-- the age-old story: health forces sale. Has R-dome, bike rack, and Forest River custom cover. Never used water supply; all tanks dry as when purchased. $12,000 or reasonable offer, but come look at it.

I have the 178 and live in Myersville. My wife and I feel it is far superior to the 177. You are welcome to see it. My cell is 301-785-0767. We would be glad to show the modifications also plus where we purchased.    Bye

+1 on the 178. You can see mine, but I doubt you want to come to Ohio.

It is just Mrs. eye and me, but anything smaller than a 178 would be too small. Advice: get the R-Dome. It more than doubles the living space.
