We are finally going on our Maiden Voyage (shake-down cruise) with our new (2105) R-Pod 172.

We will be leaving early tomorrow morning for a campground at the entrance to Mount Rainier National Park (Ashford) to spend 3 days and/or nights figuring out how to make things fly level.

Providing there is no fit issues, I will be installing a "Ultra-Fab Products 38-944037 - Ultra 3502-7 Electric Tongue Jack with 7-way plug" to help with my less than stellar back! That will certainly have follow for a few that have asked about electric jacks. I intentionally got the one with the plug because the RV battery may not always have enough charge?

Will post more later . . .keep your fingers crossed for us as we are figurative, and literal, rookies (babes in arms) at this new part of our life.

Into the wilderness we go with an American Bulldog and a Russell/Pit Mix to share the excitement!

That Pod is nearly loaded and ready for maiden flight . . .
early tomorrow morning should be on the road with about a 6 hour trip to the shake-down site at Gateway Inn and Campground!

Note to self? Don't forget the electric cable!

Don't forget a few gallons of water in the fresh water tank (if you aren't filling it up at home) for bathroom breaks on the road.

Maiden voyage complete. . . .2015 RP-172
1. Needed additional sewer hose easily obtained at village 13 miles
     from campground.
2. Brake Controller problems easily resolved with call to dealer when
in town doing some laundry. Would've never figured it out alone
and service at dealer was superb!
3. Pod tent (overall) was great . . .terrible and/or crappy inadequate
zipper on center door connect. Will discuss as warranty fix.

Other than that went without any show stopping events.

That electric tongue jack is amazing . . .absolutely amazing!

TV = 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 3500 GTW
Brake Controller = Tekonsha Voyager
Total miles round trip 485 = 14.5 mpg

Overall . . . quite pleased (actually ecstatic?)
