I found a potentially catastrophic water intrusion spot on my 2014 179.
When the opening for the door is cut someone overran the boundary a little in the lower left corner.
Not a big deal- IF they had sealed it when installing the door.
This one little goof could have let water into the floor area and over time caused rot.  Not good.
On the 179 this is in a particularly bad spot since the door is behind the wheel and this area would get blasted with a lot of road spray in wet conditions.
Everyone might want to check theirs for a similar defect.  Sealed mine with Polyseamseal caulk.  I really like the Polyseamseal product ever since my days of working in a boat shop back in the early 70's.

It is the dark slot where the saw cut...also you might be able to see where they stressed and cracked the gel coat also..the little curved lines radiating out at about 7 o'clock.

Yes it is little mistakes than can lead to big trouble down the road. It is good you noticed the mistake and made the repair.
