| I replaced mine with brass caps - they are available at most hardware stores - mine were from Home Depot. Teflon tape on the threads. |

I went to Lowes. Bought some little brass adapters and some brass shutoff valves, all threaded. Some teflon tape and 10 minutes work and they were good to go. And, never again do I have to fiddle around trying to take those plastic caps off.
