So at some point toward the end of the season the electric water heater got turned on with an empty tank and burned out. My question is how hard is it to replace, is it something I can do myself? It is very simple, you can get the heater part at Lowe's, Home Deport etc. You need a large socket and have to disconnect the pilot pipe that goes infront of the heater element. Really simple takes about 15-20 mins.
