Hello Everyone,

Before I introduce myself, I just wanted to thank all those on the forum who have provided such valuable information. Upon researching which RV Trailer I was going to buy, I decided on the R Pod based mostly on the information I was able to receive here long before I joined. Thank you so much.

I purchased the 179 model and took delivery a few weeks ago. My girlfriend and I have been out once for a 3 day trip to General Butler State Park last weekend. It was awesome! That is saying a lot considering I am a traditional tent camper. Yes, even the standard stock mattress was better on my 50 year old back then sleeping on the ground.

I ordered the 179 with the R Dome, Cover and upgraded to dual propane, and dual batteries for when we do winter camping off grid. My TV is a 2007 Ford Explorer Sport Trac 4x4 V8. I had Delightful Days add a sway bar also. In the future I hope to get the Solar Panels. Overall it was great and during the trip even though the campground was minimally used, there were 2 other R Pods in the campground.

I look forward to join one of the R Pod weekend meet and greets at some of the state campgrounds. One of the other R Pod owners told me about them last weekend.

Again thank you everyone; all the information in this forum is so helpful. Hopefully when I become a more seasoned R Pod owner, I can contribute also.

Oh, one question as silly as it may sound, do people usually name their R Pod?

Take Care
VB

Welcome!
Like you I have found this forum to be a wealth of information!
Haven't been out in our 179 yet, got it 5 days ago and its killing me not to have camped yet.

However we go for 2 nights next week at Hunting Island State Park on the beach in SC!
Can't wait although I prefer mountain camping and like you, I do a lot of off season camping.

I've been crawling all over mine this weekend making a few mods, and unfortunately fixing a few factory goofs, all in all though the rpod is better made than just about ANY RV I've ever owned and it has been a bunch in the last 40 years!

Did you buy from Right Stop?

Also in the 'ville.  Lots of other Podders here in the neighborhood.  A bunch of us camped this weekend in Rising Sun Indiana and more of us going there this coming weekend again for a FROG Rally at the same spot.

You'll really have to hit up the Kentucky Rallies this year.  We'd love to meet you folks.

Love that area, we used to vacation at Fripp Island when we were a lot younger. Now we have a pod it might be fun to head that way some time.
