Solid backing in ceiling, every strip of burlap molding has solid backing, then there is another solid strip of backing in between the burlap moldings.

Sonny, when you say "backing" are you referring to the aluminum (wood) braces, or joists, in the ceiling?  If this is the case, then can't these be anchor points for screws or other fastners for the project that we have been discussing?

Yes I am referring to the aluminum, wood braces (joists), and yes they can be used as anchor points.
