Quick question...is there any reason that you don't/wouldn't run bleach water through the hot water tank?
Only asking due to the tank sitting over the winter. I drained it in the fall, but no idea if a little water was left. Would it hurt anything to run some bleach water through? Mostly considering the anode rod. Thanks!!! ------------- 2014 rpod 182G Ford Expedition |

I've bleached my hot water tank every year for the past four years - I've never noticed any damage to the anode (and I'm still on the original). -edit- Also, I'm jealous that you're dewinterizing. There's snow in the forecast (just a dusting) and overnight low of -7C on Tuesday.
