my brother and i have finally set the date for our yearly motorcycle trip, early august.  we'll meet up in west virginia, and this year we are going to head north.  looking for suggestions (good bike roads, scenery, ect) in the pennsylvania, new york, or other vacinities to ride.  we'll be out for a week.  in years past, we have done pretty well everything around the smokies, so we have decided to head north.  honestly, it's going to be hard not to head back to the smokies, but we ned to check out some new sights.  thanks for any ideas and/or suggestions.  hogone

In Pennesylvania outside of Pittsburgh you can tour the most famous Frank Lloyd Wright designed house "Falling Water". A very cool home built for the Kaufman family. Something not to be missed. You need reservations in advance as they only let so many people tour the home per day. In that same area there is White Water Rafting on the Youghehany (SP?)(sounds like Yok e haney) river. Fun on a hot day. Gettysburg is very cool. We camped at the Gettysburg Campground on the edge of town. The have small cabins for rent... Next door to the battlefield is Pres. Eisenhour's farm. That can be toured as well. Sunset ice cream in Gettysburg is amazing too.

very true leo, but a week would not be enough time to do all that (at least if one was going to enjoy themselves); trust me we have discussed that route!!!!  I really want to do that route someday, but make it a 3 weeker!!

If you get up to New York take a ride along the Delaware River from Port Jervis up to Roscoe. Very scenic and fun. You can pick up 97 off of 84 and then route 17 in Roscoe.
