I was going through the refrigerator manual of my R178 and it references winter vent covers.

I was wondering if this was an additional accessory item or is it supposed come with the Rpod?

Does anyone have the winter vent covers?

Thanks!

I don't use vent covers but, when I winterize I open the fridge and HWH covers, cover the openings with 1 mil poly and put the covers back on and poke a few holes in to the poly for venting and trim the access. It keeps the blowing snow out.

Good to see someone actually read the manual. that's a good thing.

The winter covers are only an option in Europe. Don't know why.

Thought about covering the outside frig vents but with the canvas cover over the POD there is no need to do that. Goose

I put duct tape over the furnace vent until we are ready to use it, if I don't the dad gum wasps and mud dobbers want to build nests in there. Note to self , remove duct tape from furnace vent before using or if the system cant vent it makes one hell of a back fire. LOL

The problem up here is that duct tape does not stick in minus 30 degrees C temp.

I can also attest to the sound of that backfire! Forgot to remove the tape...POP! Ran out of the pod hoping all my parts were still attached. We duct tape the fridge vents and furnace to keep animals/insects out.
