Has anyone fabricated a bike rack that sits on the tongue?  If so, please post photos and if you could how you did it.  Thanks on behalf of all of us who would like to do same Smile

There's been a couple of discussions and examples:

I haven't towed with mine yet, but it sure looks and feels like a sturdy attachment. Thanks go to CharlieM for the advice!

EDIT: Whoops! Sorry, not enough coffee! I read tongue mounted as hitch mounted. Not the same. My apologies.

Facebook Rpod owners page has lots of pictures of fabricated bike mounts. A guy in CA has a recent posting of one he is currently building.

Ya, still searching for someone who fabricated a bike rack on the RPod Tongue.  I like the idea of the dual hitch though my TV has a rear tire which prevents that.  So I keep looking.

The Arvika is spendy, but great. Powder coated aluminum. Tray tips up to access the batteries and LP. Got an adapter for the 2" receiver so we can take it off the Pod and use it on the TV or our Outback.

I wondering how spendy the Arvika rack is?  I have a 2013 R-Pod 178 and interested in good way to carry the bikes.  Thanks.  Tproller

Highlight the text you want to make a hyperlink, then press the little picture of the Earth, just above the "quick reply" text box.

I removed the spare from the rear hitch on the Pod and keep it in my truck.
I then drilled holes in the upright and inserted U bolts.
Mine is an old bike, so I just used duct tape to protect the bike frame from the U bolts which I tighten around the frame so the bike is secure.
Sorry, no pics, 'Arnie the Podinator' is still in winter storage.
Cheers,
