Anybody found a decent cover for Yamaha 2400? Preferably, one that doesn't advertise the generator.

Closest I can find is:

http://www.amazon.com/Honda-Generator-EU3000is-Camouflage-Cover/dp/B004BQ2Q8S/ - http://www.amazon.com/Honda-Generator-EU3000is-Camouflage-Cover/dp/B004BQ2Q8S/

or

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004FF1WNA/ - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004FF1WNA/

Both are a little large. Thanks!

Fred, maybe you should take a look at a BBQ grill cover. I used one to cover my log splitter and used one to cover my small spreader I pulled behind my lawn mower too. Cheap, innocuous, and doesn't advertise what is under it.

That's a great idea. I looked around a bit and the closest fit I could find had a Cuisinart logo on it. I'm worried that would be more tempting than Yamaha! :) I'm going to keep looking that route, though.

I also read on one of the forums, the best cover might be a plastic garbage bag with the bottom cut out and a twist tie on top. Clever - as long as a nice neighbor doesn't decide to help take out the trash.

Thanks.

I have the one made for the 2400.  It is blue and says Yamaha, but I keep the generator locked up and don't worry about it too much.  I'd prefer anonymity too but I like the snug fit.

As I've mentioned I made my own, but I've read of people buying large plastic storage containers and then turning them upside down.  Not sure if the lid was inverted and under the genset, or left off entirely.

Yeah Tars, that Yamaha cover does look like a good fit. Probably wouldn't be fooling anybody anyway with a generic cover. Best to invest in a half decent chain and lock and don't worry

I've seen your cover. And where you stow it. Nobody would dare touch that thing! You probably got a remote start for that Suburban and would just run 'em over! LOL

I'm heavily leaning towards labeling this post as spam.  Anyone agree?

Yep. Spam. Looks like a Google URL shortener to track hits/referrals.

I've used outboard motor covers on generators-  they come in a variety of sizes, and are relatively inexpensive.  Best of all they don't usually have a logo on them...
