For those of you with ANY problems with your pods.. the factory service opportunity is worth the money/trip IMHO.

What if you cant be there all week? Can you pull in mid week? just spend the weekend? I actually live close enough that I could commute an hour+ to work each day, but that would kinda take the fun out of it for me. We'll be burning up most of our vacation time this summer hauling the pod around Colorado.

The rate is for the entire week no matter what but last year I know some folks checked in a few days after rally started or didn't stay the entire time due to other commitments but not sure how factory service would accommodate you if your schedule isn't flexible.

Well none of the Rally is even on the weekend at all.  Most will arrive on Sunday afternoon and then everyone starts rolling out early the following Saturday morning.  It really is a M-F thing.

But we had Pods show up last year just for a day or two here and there, some came early some left early, some stayed late.

So there is enough room to get the campers in or out during the week? I had visions of getting there & being landlocked for the week....

Newbie to group. So much to read. Just saw last night rally in Goshen. Is there still availability? Not sure I can convince hubby on such late notice plus we had made reservations for something local. Thanks.

Registration closed on the 15th of July.

That said, I don't know what might happen if you called the contact number and told them you just bought and want to go... Wink

38 pods are attending as far as I know, as of this morning.

k, thanks. We looked into it and considered registering but saw on the FRF site they are looking at over 700 units already registered so decided to hold off. Plus in there T &C's for registering it said the following so no guarantees on where you will park at that event.

Enjoy the rally for those who choose to attend. It does sounds like fun though.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
PLEASE NOTE: Because of limited numbers, we CANNOT guarantee sewer sites or 50-amp electrical service. We will attempt to accommodate members of brand clubs wishing to park together, subject to space availability. Because much of our parking is “hobo style,” (order of arrival) if you and someone else wish to park together, please arrange to arrive together.

Posted By: furpod
Date Posted: 30 Mar 2015 at 9:12am
I am not sure what in the "T&C" is bothering you, most large rallies (anything over about 75 u nits, or held in a non-CG area) are done hobo style. You won't and don't need 50A service, the pod has holding tanks, and the rally provides pump out service.

My guess on the parking together by brand was put in before they realized how quick it was going to fill, because they wanted to plan out the group parking, and then anyone registering AFTER that plan would be put where they fit. Again, totally normal. This is the way the Airstream club does it, Good Sam's, FMCA.. (those are the ones I have direct rally experience with)

Just to point out the obvious.. there is a reason they filled up 700 registrations in hours.. It's that good of and event and area.

My estimate is that 90% of RVers travel with a dog. Or a cat. Or rabbits, or guinea pigs and hamsters.. Nearly every podder I know does.

But no that is not all pods. That is total RV's.

For 2014 there were 36 pods. And around 500 total RVs.

I'm finding out today the numbers are more like last year so far around 550 currently registered.  It seems with the new online system and many people becoming confused with it several people registered multiple times.  One couple did as many as 9 reservations.

So looking a bit less crazy than it did yesterday.

We just spoke to Bob Byrne at Forest River, he is going over all the reservations and they are up to 570 as of today.  Last years total was 510 he said.   We are number 470.  We reserved on Sunday 3/29.
He does expect 700 total RV's.

He said he feels like Roy Scheider in JAWS:     "We're gonna need a bigger boat"  LOL

Wow just read on the frog website and forums that is rally is sold out. 750 rigs registered. Can't imagine what the meal lines will be like with over 1,500 people.

Welcome to FROG™ the Forest River Owners' Group!

NOTICE - REGARDING 2015 INTERNATIONAL RALLY

The overwhelming record response to the 2015 FROG Rally has completely filled the Elkhart County 4-H Fairgrounds. As a result, we have had to suspend further registrations while we explore the possibility of obtaining additional electrical service.

Should we be able to expand the utilities, we will re-open registration. We apologize for any inconvenience.

I have to give praise to FROG Bob concerning the Rally. When we first registered our daughter wasn't able to attend with us so we signed up and for the RV tour/dinner on Thursday. Then later my daughter found out that in fact she could actually go with us. So I signed her up as an additional person for our unit but the tour was already sold out. I sent Bob an email saying if any cancellations occurred that I needed another ticket and then I also talked to him about it at the Tadpole Rally to find out how probable cancellations were. Well Bob and his wife came through for me. Yesterday I received an email reserving an additional tour ticket for me and a voice message on my phone where he was holding a spot for me on the tour and to call him back to confirm that I was still interested. I immediately called him back. They had two ticket cancellations and they remembered my need. Another person requested a ticket if something became available and they took care of them as well. With as many units registered to attend the Rally it would have been very easy for my request to get lost in the crowd but these two remembered with all they have going on planning the Rally. This will be the first time we attend the Goshen event and this is our first year camping having purchased our R-Pod back in January.
