Has anyone accessed the circuit/fuse panel on a 182g? Mine is on the wall near the front door and the back is the shower/toilet wall. Would like to add a hard wired surge protector and there doesn't seem to be easy access like other models. Or does anyone know the power line route where I may add the protector? Any help is appreciated.

Your power comes in under the slide... Don't know how easy the access is under there, but it should be doable..

If you remove the kick panel covers on the bottom of the kitchen cabinets, you should see the round cup, with yellow wire coming out of it.. you can instal anywhere under there..

You could if need be, wire the protector with pigtails, then cut the feed, and wire nut/tape the protector inline.. would probably be a bit easier than working under the cabinet and in the protector box at the same time..

If you must use wirenuts  make sure they are good and tight and then tape them so they can't vibrate loose.  I would probably solder them and insulate with shrink tubing if you have room to work.

Is there a wiring diagram for each of the rpod models available? For any?

Nah, just what we all see and figure out on our own.

We had the same thought with hardwiring. I took a look and backed off. Couldn't figure where to get started without possibly damaging something else so we bought an external. Was it simpler than it seemd, or do you need some decent know-how?

LOL.

Wiring diagram.. nope. plumbing layout.. nope.

In fact, it has been verified that same model pods from the same year, are not necessarily wired or plumbed exactly the same.

You goes.. you looks.. you mods..

It was easy. The wire was right where furpod said it was. I undid the u-clamps till I could pull it out to the opening and cut it. I then wired and mounted the protector in the cabinet under the sink next to the drawers. Then spliced the wires together making sure there was enough for the slide out movement. Then wrapped the connections with electrical tape and added some wire mounts and zip ties. Took about an hour.

I haven't had a chance to use it yet. I wanted more than a basic model that would give a fault code and not just trip. It got good reviews on the internet. I didn't want an external model to prevent theft. It was a fair amount of $ and add on the fault code display $$. If I have anything negative to say after some use, I'll post it.
