Has anyone hard mounted the baskets etc... on the VersaTrac in the garage models? Would love to see pics and tips if anyone has. Thanks

Why would you need to hard mount them?

Ours don't move as it is.

Sorry, maybe I'm not understanding your reasoning behind it.

We LOVE our VersaTrac though, very handy.

Thx for the reply Moose.

I just thought they may bounce or slind out while going down the rode.

Oh have you not gotten to use them yet in yours?

Mine have never moved or anything fallen out or anything, they are pretty sturdily in those tracks once you put them where you like them the best.

Mine stay put, leave stuff in them, no issues (**knocks on wood**) so far.

Our baskets have never moved, we have used bungee cords to keep items secure. BUT, we made the mistake of "overloading" (really overloaded!)one of our baskets on the top row last year, while the basket didn't fail, the "track" cracked between the rows of attaching screws. I glued the crack (couldn't find a new one), reinforced it with a piece of 1/2" plywood, and installed screws everywhere I could, both into the plywood and through it. I don't know if I solved the problem, but knowing my weakness, I'll overload it again this summer and find out. We love our garage!

My 177 really lacks convenient kitchen storage. I've been giving some thought to mounting a VersaTrac system with baskets on the sides of the slide behind the sink and stove.  If I do so, what length screws should I use?  In other words, how thick are the side walls of the slide?  I don't want to drill a hole through the pod wall.
