This forum has been a great source of information for this new pod owner.

I replaced some of the foam with high density foam and have a piece of 2 inch foam the size of the bed that I roll out at night, and roll it up against the back wall during the day. I leave the bedding on the 2 in chfoam when I roll it up.

CathyH what I did was get a 1/4 inch thick 4ft by 8ft luan wood panel and measured the width and length I needed, I then cut that into 4 pieces and used duct tape to use as hinges, this is so I can fold it up and use less space for storage. I bought full sized 3 inch dual foam mattress from Walmart. When Donna and I are ready for bed we put the dinette down, set the cushions I then put the 1/4th plywood down and then roll out the foam mattress. It sleeps like a million dollars.

Depends on whether you want to use the table while on the road or keep it permanently in sleep mode. Our kids use the dinette space, but the 3" foam we use on the crappy queen mattress would work on the dinette too. Actually, the dinette cushions are more comfortable than the bed! We're looking at a thin Ikea mattress to use on top.
