We are looking at the new 179 or possibly the 178. WE both have some back issues and I have braces for my knees. Was wondering if anyone has added a GRAB HANDEL on the outside of the Bath? Are there any "studs" in the area covering about 4" in from the door jam to secure a handel to?

Any other suggestions to deal with the apox 13" step in and out of the bathroom would be appreciated.

There are other posts on this subject you are not the first if you do a search you may find them. In answer to your question there are studs in the walls of the wet bath if you tap the wall you should be able to locate them. They should be strong enough for fastening a grab handle to the wall. David

A simple fold down step would help with the step up. It could be latched with a hook or a magnet in the upright position with a folding support. Walt
