Does anyone have an idea of the electrical cable routing within the entry wall- The one on the left as you enter, or the "potty wall" of the bathroom, if you will. Many switches and the tank monitor panel are on that wall. Would you expect that the cabling descends from above, or rises from the deck? The reason I ask, is that I intend to mount a television and wall mount in that area, ala the 178, and I would prefer not drilling through a cable. I don't have a 177 but mine has almost no studs in the interial walls so regardless of where the wires are you may not be able to find anything strong enough to hold a wall mount for the TV. Right in the middle of the TV "area" there is plywood reinforcement. I used the screws that came with the mounting bracket. Thanks to you both. I agree with Seanl regarding the structure of the 177 entry wall. I intend to back up the mount with a plywood gusset. (That's not a proper use of the term, but you know what I mean.) I also need to find a convenient 12 v. power source. There are a lot of possibilities if, hopefully, they run both + and - and just switch one leg. (As opposed to a distributed ground and a switched positive. Or, in the case of my 1964 MGB, a distributed positive and a switched ground. Brits......) The 178 has a wall dedicated for use as a true entertainment center. The 177 does not since it is designed primarily to enclose some of the plumbing for the bathroom. If I were you, I would use an electronic stud finder to determine exactly where a stud, if any, is located. Don't drill holes based on what any model designed for entertainment center use has.
